Why I Work Differently
No two horses or riders are the same, so I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.
My focus is on helping you understand your horse better, build confidence and make your time together feel more positive and productive – without pressure or judgement.
I often describe my role as helping to bridge the gap between horse and rider, translating behaviour into understanding so you know how to respond clearly and calmly.

My Approach
Every horse has a way of communicating – through behaviour, tension, movement and responses to the rider. My job is to help you see and understand what’s really going on, and give you practical, realistic ways to improve things.
What I focus on:
- Calm, fair, consistent coaching
- Working with the horse, not against them
- Building understanding, not just obedience
- Developing confidence for both horse and rider
In practice, that means
- Supportive guidance that helps you feel more in control and less overwhelmed
- Sessions tailored to what your horse needs on the day
- Clear, simple explanations (no jargon or overcomplication)
- A pace that suits both you and your horse

What clients experience
Clients often tell me they feel listened to, supported, and never judged.
Sessions are calm, focused, and designed to help both horse and rider feel more confident, more connected and more able to work through challenges together.
Many riders come to me feeling unsure or stuck, and leave with:
- A clearer understanding of their horse
- More relaxed and willing behaviour
- Increased confidence in their own riding and handling
- A more enjoyable and trusting partnership
Why this approach works
When a horse feels understood and a rider feels supported, progress happens naturally – without force, frustration or confusion.
My aim is always to make things feel clearer, calmer and more achievable for both of you.
What people say
“We’ve been listened to, guided and challenged in a way that encourages our learning journey…”
