Coach

I am a British Horse Society Stage 3 Coach in Complete Horsemanship (BHSAI) and a UKCC Level 2 qualified coach. I am fully insured and available for flatwork, groundwork and jumping lessons.

My specialty is building rider confidence, with a strong passion for Dressage, though I’m always happy for an exciting day out on the Cross Country course.

Since achieving my BHS Stage 3 Coaching (PTT) in July 2016, I have worked with a wide variety of riders and horses, coaching both children and adults. Each session is tailored to the individual, working towards mutually agreed goals at a pace that suits you.

I am happy to teach at your yard or travel with clients to local training venues and competitions for Dressage, Show Jumping, or Cross Country.

Pricing:

  • Coaching: £7.50 per 15 minutes
  • Travel: £1.00 per mile (round trip, minimum charge £5.00)

Stable Management Instructor

Alongside my work as a Riding Coach, I offer Stable Management sessions and training towards British Horse Society Stages 1 & 2. As a BHS Accredited Professional Coach, I am qualified to sign off candidates working towards these exams.

I have extensive experience training apprentices towards these and equivalent qualifications, having previously worked as a Work-Based Assessor. I also regularly attend BHS Continued Professional Development (CPD) days and am currently training towards my Stage 4 Complete to further enhance my coaching skills.

Pricing:

Rider

I hold a British Horse Society Stage 3 Ride qualification (with Distinction!) and have extensive experience riding a wide variety of horses and ponies, having been in the saddle since childhood.

With Dressage as my main passion, I understand the importance of correct schooling – whether for a pleasure horse, show jumper or any other discipline. Mounted sessions can include exercise, schooling or furthering your horse’s education, tailored to your horse’s needs and your goals.

At 5ft 7 and just under 12st, I am able to ride a wide range of horses and ponies. I am fully insured and regularly train to refine my riding skills, ensuring I can always offer the best possible support to my clients and their horses.

  • Riding (mounted): £7.50 per 15 minutes
  • Travel: £1.00 per mile (round trip, minimum charge £5.00)

Support Sessions

Because you don’t have to figure it all out alone, these personalised sessions give horse owners practical guidance, confidence and clarity – either in person, over the phone or via video call.

Support Calls are ideal if you want help with:

  • Feeding and ration planning
  • General management and stable routines
  • Rider confidence and nerves
  • Flatwork and schooling guidance
  • Young or green horses
  • Hacking worries
  • Competition preparation
  • Creating simple, realistic plans

Each session is tailored to you and your horse to provide practical solutions and support, without needing to book a full lesson.

Pony Stars

The BHS Pony Stars programme supports and celebrates your child’s journey with ponies, offering hands-on, practical, and fun sessions across a wide range of topics. Designed for children ages 4 and up, the programme includes four progressive groups: Shetland Striders, Dartmoor Dazzlers, Welshie Wizzers, and Connemara Champs.

Each child receives a My Challenge Book to log progress, with stickers, badges, certificates, and a rosette to earn along the way. The award scheme encourages independence, confidence, and a deeper understanding of pony care and riding.

Session options:

  • Shared sessions (2 participants): 30 mins – £12 each | 45 mins – £18 each | 60 mins – £24 each
  • 1-to-1 sessions: 30 mins – £15 | 45 mins – £22.50 | 60 mins – £30
  • Add-on after a normal lesson: £6 per 15 mins per participant (minimum 30 mins – £12 each)

Starter Fee: £40 (includes My Challenge Book, cloth bag, stickers, cloth badges, certificate & rosette)

Travel costs: £1 per mile (round trip) — can be split between participants.

BHS Stage 1 & 2 Training & Sign Offs

Tailored lessons to support riders working towards BHS Stage 1 & 2 qualifications. Sessions cover both practical riding and stable management, including theory, skills, and preparation for assessments.

As a BHS Accredited Professional Coach, I am qualified to sign off candidates completing Stage 1 & 2 syllabus points. Each session is tailored to the rider’s experience and goals, ensuring they progress confidently and safely.

Pricing:

  • Session: £7.50 per 15 minutes
  • Travel: £1.00 per mile (round trip, minimum charge £5.00)

Groundwork Training & Exercising

Structured sessions to improve your horse’s obedience, fitness and overall schooling. Suitable for horses of all levels, these sessions include:

  • Lunging
  • Long reining / long-lining
  • Additional groundwork exercises tailored to your horse’s needs

These sessions are ideal for horses needing consistency, schooling, fitness work or rehabilitation and for riders who want to enhance leadership and communication from the ground.
